Meet The Founder
Mariana Claveria
Meet Mariana, a passionate graduate of the University of Alberta who holds a secondary teaching degree with a specialization in Spanish and English for English as a Second Language (ESL) learners. With a strong focus on junior high education, she is dedicated to helping students build confidence and discover the power of language and learning.
Drawing on her experience as a university tutor and her exciting teaching adventure in Madrid, Mariana brings both a global perspective and practical classroom experience to her work with students. Growing up with immigrant parents, Mariana developed a deep appreciation for language learning and the important role it plays in connecting people, cultures, and communities. She believes language is a powerful bridge to the world without it, meaningful connection and understanding would not be possible.
Beyond the classroom, Mariana channels her energy and leadership skills as a U14 club volleyball coach, where she helps young athletes develop confidence, teamwork, and resilience both on and off the court.
Mariana believes education is a privilege and that personalized attention is key to unlocking each student’s potential. She is passionate about highlighting the transformative power of education and advocating for its vital role in shaping lives and communities. Through one-on-one support, she believes students can make meaningful strides in their academic journeys.
For Mariana, education is not just about sharing knowledge - it’s about building confidence, encouraging critical thinking, and inspiring a lifelong love of learning.
